Palm Springs is in the Coachella Valley at one end of the Sonoran Desert in California, USA. It is surrounded by the San Jacinto and the Santa Rosa mountains. It is a rejuvenating haven for Hollywood stars and you and me! Hot Springs, golf, tennis, and spas are popular activities here. As the temperature ranges in the 70s here, it is a coveted winter destination. Palm Springs became very popular for Hollywood stars, wealthy Europeans, and businesspeople in the 1930s because of this balmy winter weather.

Consequently, you can do so many things in Palm Springs; like take a ride on the aerial tramway, visit the Art Museum, or walk the trails in Indian Canyon through mountain streams and palm trees. If you like star-gazing, there are star watcher tours!
You can find hot springs at spas and luxury hotels to pamper yourself. The hot springs are supposed to be therapeutic and people come from all over to enjoy the healing waters.

You could just relax and take in the beauty surrounding you in Palm Springs. Do everything or nothing at all. It’s all up to you! We do recommend the music festival if you are looking for things to do.
As the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is very popular in this area; as a result, you may want to avoid going to Palm Springs and the surrounding towns, if you want to avoid crowds!
Palm Springs is about two hours from Los Angeles, at 107 miles. Great for a weekend spa vacation getaway!
