Queens is one of the five Boroughs in New York City, New York, USA. What would you find to do in your retired life in this travel destination in Queens, New York City? There is a lot to do here. Firstly, this is the largest borough in NYC. There are many ethnic communities here, therefore there’s a lot of diversity in food. You can find food from around the world in Queens. Consequently, there are also a lot of cultural activities here.
Here are a few more things to do in Queens, NYC:
- Visit the 1964 World’s Fair site in Flushing Meadows-Corona Park. The Unisphere and the Observation Towers from the New York State Pavilion are worth visiting.
- If you like cinema, visit the Museum of Moving Images and learn about the history of the movies.
- USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing is the home of the US Open Grand-Slam Tennis Tournament. Take in a match if you are there at the right time of year!
- Citi Field is the New York Mets’ home ground. When there are no games, you can tour the stadium and other areas.
- There’s a beach in Queens called the Rockaway Beach and Boardwalk, which is a popular place to visit. In summer you can sunbath on this largest urban beach
- Two International airports – JFK and LaGuardia are in this part of the city.
